Sorry I dont speak very good english and its difficult for me writing too much but Im going to coment in spanish :/ So Haku and Neru represent part of an era that basically isn't around anymore. It becomes a point that they are more popular then vocalodis like Bruno or Clara, but Yamaha would rather everyone support vocaloids like these over unofficial characters. The current method of things, is to give credit to the voicebank that is used, and Deviants of Vocaloids like this pair are a dying trend because of the drive to support the actual vocaloids over anything else by studios. So I apologise, this is about the best I can do. There is no easy way to discuss any of this I have discovered and I've given up trying in the last couple of years, its really hard to explain these things to their fans. Without acknowledgement by Yamaha, who made vocaloid, and since they weren't even made by Miku and Rin's company Crypton. Whiel Miku and co have progressed and moved on, these two don't change.
I can't really explain this much differently, I once said on DA to someone else, a lot of the problem is since 2009 nothing has really been done with the pair. Neru didn't have a voice at all originally. IF you made an awful Mikusong, it was labelled a "Haku" song by other fans. Haku started out as representing any Miku song that was bad, so had no special adjustments made at all. Except there is no difference, Haku's voice and Miku's were one and the same. This reminds me of an old ancient argument back in Vocaloid2's days wherein someone once said they hated Miku but loved Haku's voice. You can't just magic a voice for the pair because of all this. There are some 70+ Vocaloids now and Haku and Neru aren't really taken in the same way they was in the past. I'm not hating the pair here, so don't take it as that. This is why are considered "deviants" of Miku's design. As I said, their not even Vocaloids, they don't have voicebanks and Yamaha won't acknowledge them. You may listen to Miku and Rin in different ways, but they are still Rin and Miku, seriously, there is no dedicated vocal for Neru and Haku therefore you can't really do a "cover song" as its still Rin and Miku.
